Pregnancy in unknown location.

Hi.

Brief history; 2 live children, 2 chemical pregnancies, late loss at 20 weeks pregnant last year.

So I conceived straight after a chemical pregnancy without waiting for my period. Had also ovulated later in my cycle- around day 17/18 ( saw my lh surge day 16)

Would falling after a chemical without waiting for a period affect my pregnancy dates? And ovulating later?

My cervix is fully closed.

I had spotting but I spot every pregnancy. No cramping and no heavy bleeding.

They couldn't see a sac but couldn't see a ectopic pregnancy either.

I had a positive urine test there and I did my first HCG blood test and having one tomorrow.

Said I haven't miscarried yet, I could still miscarry and can't be sure it's not an ectopic pregnancy ( I don't have the symptoms of one)

Has anyone else had this and had a successful pregnancy?

I feel so confused. Pregnancy symptoms are still very strong.

You probably ovulated later because your body is adjusting after the chemical pregnancy, but I don’t think this should affect your pregnancy. I’ve had a successful, healthy pregnancy straight after a chemical pregnancy. If they couldn’t see a sac yet it probably means you’re less than 5 weeks and too early to see anything. Hopefully your second HCG test will show the levels rising well. As frustrating and worrying as it is, there’s nothing you can do now but wait. Good luck x

I haven’t had a chemical pregnancy but I’ve had miscarriages and also a stillbirth at 26 weeks.

My pregnancy with my rainbow 2019 baby there was no sac seen either and was offered a scan in 2 weeks and the everything was fine with a strong heartbeat.

You probably just caught the pregnancy really early and it’s still developing as normal as I don’t see why a chemical pregnancy would effect the next pregnancy regardless of whether you had a period or not.

All the best x

Thanks but it looks like my pregnancy is failing as my blood tests have halved I haven't bled properly yet which they expected . Glad it worked out for you and I'm so sorry for your losses. A late loss is so unimaginable 🥲 I've been referred for miscarriage testing and hope I can get some answers as I've had 4 losses- 3 in a row now Xx

So sorry to hear that, I’m glad you have been referred, I don’t know why they wait for a woman to have so many first (I also had two in a row but was it was my sixth loss when I was referred 😩) as if it’s not heartbreaking enough to go through one.

I wish you all the best and hope you get some answers. You can always inbox me if you need a chat xx

You should definitely have a full examination by a gynecologist and a therapist because this is a grave issue. I had a false pregnancy once (all the symptoms were pronounced, but the baby was not conceived in me), and I took it hard. I remember that after I got pregnant for real, there were no symptoms on the contrary. That's an interesting fact. To feel supported and helped all the time, I went to theaustindoula.com, and maybe you should talk to them too
