My son is now 18 months and still sleeps in his cot and sleeping bag. When is it advised to consider switching the cot to it being a bed and using a duvet and pillow?
I'm scared he will just escape lol
Thanks x

To be honest both my boys stayed in their cots until they were 3 😂!!Neither tried to climb out and they were quite happy so that’s where they stayed!!
They did have cotbed quilts and very small pillows.
I’d say if he’s happy and sleeping well don’t rush it.
My little one is 11 & half months old, he is little monkey, just this morning he climbed over his cot side, lucky our bed is right next to him. I'm seriously considering putting him into a bed as he just wants out of his cot 😂. He has had a pillow for the last month since he pulled mine into his cot and fell to sleep on it, he sometimes uses a toddler duvet and sometimes his sleeping bag he will sleep with either. So long as you have a safety gate up so he can't leave the room and the room is child safe he should be okay in a toddler bed.
My little boy was 3 went he went in to his bed. Like the others said dont rush. You will know when he's ready. Just put a safety gate on the bedroom door so he cant escape. Let him choose a bedding set so he will be excited to sleep in it x
