38 weeks pregnant and incontinence . Will a c-section help reduce incontinence?

So yesterday I was working from home and super busy so I held it for a while and when I got up to go to the toilet I leaked. Now I got up at 3.15am to go toilet and out of nowhere I've leaked slightly again. I know I'm meant to do pelvic floor muscles which I've been really rubbish at doing. But I want to honestly know will an elected c-section reduce incontinence after birth?

Are you sure it's wee and not water? Honestly I think it will be difficult to elect for a section so close to birth but might be worth speaking to your midwife. It's likely that the issue that you're trying to hold off to wee when you have huge pressure your bladder if this only happened yesterday.

That's true in that incident but this oring I got up at 4am because I'm always up between 3 and 4 and went to the toilet. I wasnt desperate or anything but I still leaked. I hate this feeling of losing control of my body.

Maybe get checked out as this is how I started to loose my waters. I thought I was weeing myself too but it was my waters trickling out bit by bit which I had no control over at all. Maybe keep an eye as can go like this -not always a big gush. Also after birth we are all a bit incontinence- v weak pelvic floor at first but it improves pretty quickly. Just part of it. A C section wouldn’t help this i don’t think plus there is a longer recovery process with what can be lots of other issues. U wud have a catheter for a bit too. Wouldn’t elect for one personally unless lots of medical reasons too n usually don’t think hospitals allow it now anyways unless really needed.

U so almost there it amazing when u have ur lil one. Best wishes xx
