I started brown spotting at around 5 and a half weeks pregnant, I’m now 6 and a half weeks,due for next scan in a week.Is this normal ?

Hi yes it can be completely normal, they put it down to implantation bleeding, because it’s old blood if it’s brown. If you are ever concerned though always get checked out because never hurts to be on the safe side.

I’m getting it checked on Saturday but the wait is so long🙈I’ve been spotting for over a week now,does it last that long?

Sometimes it can huni, everyone is different, as long as it’s brown it’s old blood of it turns red phone EPAC or go to aA&E xxx

I had this at about 6 weeks. Definitely implantation bleeding but Dr sent me for early scan to check.

I had the same, and I even had some fresh bleeding as well. Scans showed that everything was fine. As long as you don’t have any strong cramping while you’re bleeding, you should be fine x

I had quite heavy bleeding - brown and red blood - at 6 1/2 weeks pregnant.

That baby just had her 5th birthday!!

Yes it can be normal, I too starting brown discharge at 5weeks, just mention it and keep an eye it, it can be fine, I was frantically looking for videos to tell me it was normal, I had an early scan to check it wasn’t ectopic, I’m now 33wks and I had a few more episodes in between but nothing after 12weeks
