Amniocentesis?

I am 35 years old and on my third pregnancy. I have had an abnormal test result indicating a high risk for the baby to be born with spina bifida. At my last ultrasound (done at 22 weeks) they found the baby has fluid in both kidneys. This is a slight indication of spina bifida as well. Should I have an amniocentesis done? I am currently 23 weeks along as of today.

I had one done at 22 weeks with my daughter after 20 week scan showed so many signs she had trisomy 13

She did have it but i only done it because my consultant pressured me

Personally if I could go back I wouldn’t have done it because it wasn’t going to change the fact that I was going to continue with the pregnancy anyway

I was offered testing with this pregnancy as my son has a rare genetic condition however like Olivialinney said it depends on what you would do. I have declined as I would continue with the pregnancy regardless. I think it depends on what you would do from the result.
