I had my first ultrasound 2 weeks ago and I was 6 weeks and two days. We saw the heartbeat and everything looked perfect. Today I started bleeding, it’s very light but there was one clot in it. The bleeding only lasted about an hour. Am I definitely going to lose my baby? Has anyone experienced this and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy? My next ultrasound is Tuesday but I’m going to drive myself crazy worrying I’m the meantime. I’d honestly just like to know if I should accept the worse or just expect it but still have some hope for a healthy baby.

8 weeks light bleeding with clots. Definite miscarriage?????
I had some bleeding at around 10 weeks, not heavy. I had a scan and everything was fine. The sonographer couldn't find any reason for the bleed but my midwife thought it could have been the placenta implanting. My little one is 11 months old now so a bleed doesn't always mean the worst. It's always worth getting it checked out so I'd definitely phone your midwife and see what she says about arranging a scan with the epu she might be able to arrange something sooner, best of luck xx
What colour is the bleeding, they say if its red fresh blood then it's more worrisome. But brown blood is more old blood
It’s not definite. When I was 6 weeks I bled and it flooded through my knickers and trousers with clots and was bright red with cramps. I had a scan at 6+4 and thankfully everything was fine. I then bled again that afternoon of the scan again flooding through knickers and trousers with clots but wasn’t allowed another scan until 7 weeks so had to wait but thankfully everything was fine again. I then went on to bleed until around 10 weeks but it turned brown.
It isn’t always great bleeding but it helps to know that it’s not always a definite. That’s what got me through to my scans anyway xx
No always I had a bleed at 6+4 and it was red with clots so me and my husband prepared for the worse when we went for a scan 2 find out I was having 2 healthy twins, I'm now 22 weeks.
A friend of mine had a huge bleed and she was expecting the worst due to the amount and she went and the bean was fine. Was had a haematoma.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope everything is okay
Xx
I had slight bleed at 6-7 weeks. I think it can be implantation bleeding.
But if your worried call midwife they can always check you over.
I had a very big bleep, with red blood and massive clot at 7 weeks. The boy is 19 months now. The pregnancy was spotless. Apparently it was implementation blood.
Try to relax and get some rest
Fingers crossed for you 💚
Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words! I ended up going to the hospital that night and they weren’t really clear as to what they saw on the ultrasound, but we did hear the babies heartbeat when they used to Doppler!! They have me on bed rest until my next ob appointment next week as my pregnancy was already considered high risk due to other health issues I have. I have continued to bleed since, pretty consistently but a small amount still.
Thanks for all those who replied to this thread. I’m 8w tomorrow and currently having a similar panic.
I’ve never wanted a Monday to come so quickly so I can try and speak to someone!
