Implantation bleeding

Me and my partner have been trying for a baby since the beginning of June. We have been having sex sometimes every few days. I’m due my period in 5 days but this morning I had a little bit of cramping and then tonight I have just been to the toilet and when I wiped I had pinky blood on the tissue. Normally when I am first starting my period I have some old brown blood before the flow starts properly so I’m abit surprised for it to be pink. Could this be implantation bleeding or just be my period?
