Anyone experienced Cholestasis from 8 weeks ?

I had mild itching from 6weeks and though it was hormones and pregnancy symptoms. I finally googled about ICP around 16weeks and was diagonized with ICP at TBA - 13 and immediately started on Ursodiol. My doc has mentioned that I will have to be induced at 36 - 37 weeks. I am currently 19 weeks and have a long road. I haven’t been sleeping and am scared to death reading all about ICP . I have a couple of questions. Even if you closely monitor for bloodwork, NST and ultrasound . How often do bile acids increase? How can you catch them? Monitoring baby movements every hour sounds scary.. how can weekly NST s confirm that your baby is fine once the test is done? You will be waiting in danger till the next test starts? It’s terrifying

I am 11 weeks pregnant and started having the feet itching from the 8th week. The itching is getting worse day by day but I haven’t got any test done to confirm it yet. How did it go for you? I will be grateful if you can share any tips that can help in any way during the pregnancy. Thanks

Hi Ginni, hope you delivered safely?

if you dont mind me asking, at which week did you deliver your baby?

My partner was diagnosed with Chloestatis in week 29. Her reading was 119. She's been taking Urso 500mg 3 times a day for the last 4 weeks and thankfully her Bile reading is now much lower. It's reduced from 119, 80, 15 and 8.9. Doctors still want to induce her at week 36 + 4 days. I'm just wondering now that her bile readings have significantly reduced, should we go ahead with week 36 + 4 days or try to get to full term (37 days). We have seen 3 different doctors and they all suggest different induction dates (week 35, week 36, week 37). Partner is currently 33 weeks + 4 days.

I was diagnosed with cholestatis at 34 weeks and was induced at 38.

Don’t stress yourself about it and speak to your doctor. My hospital gave me a good leaflet explaining it all. Nhs website also has good advice.

If you’ve started on the ursodiol your symptoms should start reducing and the antihistamines massively help too.
