My LG has come up in sort of spots. More like blotches. They look like the stings you get from stinging nettles. She has three on her chest. One on her shoulder. Two near her belly button. One on her hip. One on her ankle. She hasn’t eaten any new foods. We haven’t changed our washing detergent. We don’t have a cat or a dog and it hasn’t been that hot today. We haven’t been near anyone else. LG was sick twice today. Once not long after she ate all her porridge and once this afternoon after nursing. This is a tad unusual for her as she’s not sick very often these days. But, it didn’t phase her, she didn’t bat an eyelid afterwards. She had an amazing appetite for her dinner tonight. Even had a bit extra. She doesn’t have a fever and seems her normal self. She didn’t have them at lunch time but we noticed them when bathing her this evening. We’ve given Calpol just in case and rubbed Sudocrem on them. She’s sleeping in her cot now, went down as normal, normal time. She’s 9 months old xx

Is it possible she has scratched herself. My little boy is constantly catching himself with sharp bits of nail in-spite of keeping them short, and they always look like raised marks with a red patch around them. Applying a cool cloth to the area should help reduce the redness and take some heat out of it. If it’s more like a rash, roll a glass tumbler over the area to check it disappears. If still concerned in the morning I would speak to your gp or 111 x

Thank you. They definitely weren’t scratches. She had them all over, even her shoulder but thankfully they’re cleared up today! xx

Is it possible it could be the nappy? It looks maybe where it would secure? Maybe a bit of irritation rash? Or like you said heat rash

Is it anywhere else on the body?

It doesn’t look alarming to me so, try not to worry

I used to panic about rash’s and my son had a few but thank filly none were ever worrying.

NHS do a good slide show of the different rash’s and what they could be, you can compare the picture with your baby zzz hops this helps x

She had quite a few; hip, ankle, shoulder, chest, belly button. They looked quite inflamed and angry but thankfully they seemed to have gone today! xx

Thank you. It’s not a scratch though. They were raised blotches. And she even had one on her shoulder. Thankfully there’s no sign of them this morning xx
