Following my 12 week scan on Friday & everything going well (touch wood).
I have my 16 week check up with my local midwife in 4 weeks time & am wondering what changes, feelings etc I should or can be expecting? Along with any warning signs I need to keep an eye out for?
Myself & OH are completely new to this, so please point out anything at all.
Thank you very much

Congratulations with your pregnancy and healthy baby!
I had my 16 week appointment last week and, it was done over the phone. They told me what things to look out for I.e any blood loss, swelling in hands or feet or face, severe abdominal cramps that aren’t just stretching type pain.
They will list all of this and it will be in your notes whether they’re paper form or on the app.
I know it is worrying times especially, for first time parents but try not stay as calm as you can and trust your body
Umm not really to be honest, this is my second pregnancy successful one I should add. I think I’ve had a few more stretching and round ligament pains and your tummy begins to feel harder. Apart from that, nothing really.
If you are worried, the midwives are happy to chat to your to ease your worries x
This is my first pregnancy too, I’m currently 17+5 😊
From around 14 weeks I started getting round ligament pains, can be quite strong at times but it’s completely normal and nothing to worry about. Just where everything is stretching and moving to accommodate baby! Also had quite dry skin, so I’d recommend moisturising regularly.
My 16 week midwife app was cancelled due to COVID so just be prepared that you might not have that appointment. Instead I will get to see a midwife after my 20 week scan xx
