I've posted a few times recently about various issues i've been having, mostly gynae and mental health related. Thank you so much to everyone who has responded and taken the time to give me some really helpful and uplifting advice.
I hope this isn't a really stupid question. I am far too embarrassed to ask my GP given the current situation with Covid 19 and I certainly don't want to take up their time at the moment but i'm really believing that the mirena coil is having a bad effect on me (PND so so much worse since having it fitted) and i'm starting to wish i'd never had it (only went ahead as recommended by gynae).
Obviously now we're on lockdown and all non essential care is over the phone (totally understandable) I can't see it being removed for a very long time. Any hope on having it taken out? I'm concerned about my mental wellbeing but obviously a v v low priority

All you can do is ask the question. I work in a GP surgery and we are only seeing very urgent cases like you say but if you can just explain how much of an effect you think it’s having on you they may possibly do it. You’re just as important as anyone else xx
The first time I had the coil it didn't feel comfortable at all. I pulled mine out myself while I was out walking my dogs as I was getting lots of pains and didn't think I'd make it back. I just found the strings and pulled them while pushing. It wasn't comfortable but once it was out the relief was immediate. I can't tell you it didn't hurt and wouldn't recommend it but it can be done if you're really desperate to have it out.
