I came off the pill completely 3 weeks ago after being on it for the past 5 years and having no periods at all during this time. I still haven’t got my period that I was expecting after not having one for 5 years (I was expecting very painful cramps and heavy flow) but have had nothing so far.
As well as this I have numerous pregnancy symptoms but don’t know if it would be possible for me to conceive this quickly. Is this a possibility?
I am torn between when is best to take a pregnancy test as all the posts or things I’ve read say to wait until you’ve missed a period....but I haven’t had a period in over 5 years and this is starting to concern me

I'd say your body will probably still be trying to get back into motion, but you never know, maybe you ovulated super quick and your body is already working as it should. No harm in taking a pregnancy test but I'd probably wait another week and do a first response one x
I came off the pill after three years in mid August. Didn’t have a period (was stressing so much about this) and was tracking using Natural Cycles. I fell pregnant in September. I was experiencing cramps for about a week and was desperate for my period to come. I did a test just out of interest and it came back positive! It can happen. If you know when your period is due, wait a bit and then test xx
Awww that’s lovely to hear congratulations! Yes I’ve had cramps for about that time as well and had lower back ache as well as severe headaches and tiredness. Going to buy a couple of tests today. Thank you for your reply xx
I’d go for a pink dye test. Wait until the morning with your first urine xx
I came off the pill after being on it consistently for 20 years and it took about 4 or 5 weeks for me to get my first period afterwards. I also had symptoms of what seemed like pregnancy really early on but upon doing some research, depending on which pill you were taking, it's more than likely your body going into overdrive while it produces all the hormones that the pill has been suppressing for years. I had really painful swollen breasts, bloating, cramps etc. I would give it a little longer to see if your period comes and then if it puts your mind at rest to know either way, maybe take a pregnancy test in a week or 2 x
