What fillings can I put in my little girls sandwiches? We have tried soft cheese and marmite so far.
Also what bread do you all use?

Honestly, most fillings & whatever bread you like. Mashed Avocado, tuna mayo, jam, smooth peanut butter grated cheese
Mashed banana? Personally I’d be trying to give wholemeal or seeded as it’s healthier but I’m certainly not judging on white and if that’s all my little one wants in the future I won’t be stressing over it 😊 x
I don’t tend to give sandwiches much as little boy isn’t really fussed about bread, but I used to find that soft cheese or jam (low sugar where possible) were the favourites as he tended to lose the filling if it was something like cheese or ham.
With regards to bread, although we tend to see wholemeal as “healthier” for adults, I don’t think you’re actually supposed to give babies loads of wholemeal because the high fibre content fills them up without providing them with the energy & nutrients that they need. NHS advises they shouldn’t only have wholegrain until they’re 5.
I used to get this but don’t bother now as he gets his meals at nursery 3 days a week and much prefers pasta to bread anyway:

Can understand why they say it might fill them- never happened with mine though lol... Also imagine introducing wholegrain to a 5 year old who’s only ever had white bread 😩 😫
My lo loves peanyt butter and banana. We use whatever bread we have usually seeded or wholemeal.
Yes whole grain bread is healthier for adults as it contains more fibre so fills you up quicker. Aside from the fibre, nutritionally-wise they are not that dissimilar. Give. That your baby needs lots of energy, too much fibre will fill them up and keep them fuller for longer, meaning they won’t be getting as much energy during the full day. So your baby is much better off with white bread whilst they are growing! Filling wise, pretty much anything, although I’m steering clear of processed meats with a high salt content
