I had lunch out yesterday and threw up about 10 hours later. It was only twice and I didn’t have any other food poisoning symptoms. I’m not dehydrated and feel totally fine now.
However, I obviously googled “food poisoning while pregnant” and now I’m panicking that it’s going to affect the baby.
Does anyone have any experience of this and what did you do?
Thanks xx

It might just be baby sickness rather than food poisoning. I threw up a couple of days ago, have never been actually vomited with this or my previous pregnancy and thought I’d be past that bit now at 14 weeks 🤪
Might just have been something didn’t agree with you rather than was bad if that makes sense? Definitely give your gp or midwife a call tomorrow if you’re worried though. Hope you’re feeling better now x
Just thought as well, are you back on progesterone support because of your SCH? That could be making your tummy a little sensitive as well, it always make my nausea worse xx
Thanks lovely. I just can’t catch a break at the moment! That’s a good point about it maybe not agreeing with me… it was definitely the food that made me vom but may not have been bad or bacteria as you say. Did you have any other symptoms when you were sick?
No, it caught me by surprise to be honest! I’m still feeling nauseous in general but it has started to get a little bit better the last week or two so really not really sure what triggered it and hasn’t happened again since 🤷🏼♀️
I said to my husband last night, I really don’t like people who are all glowy and pregnant at the moment 😂 Hopefully we will both get to that stage soon 🙏🏻♥️ Xx
Hi there, it could be the hormones since you baby is going on a growth spurt now If you have a lingering abdominal pain with headaches, it is better to go straight to the MAU and they will assess you. I think you will be perfectly fine but if you are worried, speak to your GP or midwife. Hope you feel better soon
I had definite food poisoning about 16 weeks, I think from some undercooked meat at a family BBQ, asked my midwife about it and she was supremely unconcerned, she basically said unless I'm still unwell after 48 hours then not to worry.
