My LG is not a great eater at all but when she is teething she just doesn’t even open her mouth. We tend to take a few days off and go back to it after that and she’s normally fine xx

Sounds like we are going through the same stuff! My baby is exactly the same. Barely eating. My friends have assured me that this is very normal when teething and as long as baby is still having milk I think all is good.

Almost 9 months. He's still breastfeeding, which is getting painful. Poor baby has all his front teeth coming at once. Hoping they'll hurry up. I'm just trying to ensure he has at least one decent meal a day and then bits.

My little one is still like this she has terrible fussy periods when teething as it hurts her gums when eating so I try n give soft foods when she was younger she still had her milk through the day so wasn’t too concerned and once the tooth had pierced through she’d tend to eat better. Just offer what you can and as long as they’re still getting milk it should be ok xx

My baby likes to eat cold melon slices. I think it's soothing for him, plus it tastes great!

I used to find with my son if I put teething gel on a little while before food and gave him something easy to chew like a banana or something like that he’d eat it. But don’t worry if your little one doesn’t eat for a few days as long as they are having plenty of milk and fluids to keep them going. Keep an eye on nappies and make sure that there’s wet and dirty nappies coming. Xx

awww thank you it's nice to know I'm not the only one as it makes you think it's something you are doing wrong xxx

Not at all, it’s very common for babies to avoid food when teething or just when they’re unwell in general. Just make sure she’s getting plenty of milk/water and she’ll be just fine. Xxx

I wouldn't worry about it, food before 1 is mainly for fun. Milk (either breast of formula) should still be her primary sourceof nutrition still. If she is teething, cold food will help, my son loves biting down on cold raw carrot sticks, doesnt actually eat any of it, but it helps his gums

Thank you she is drinking plenty if fluids she is having more milk than normal so I will keep it flowing for her xxx

Apparently food is mainly for exploring until they’re a year old anyway and most of their calories come from milk. Just make sure she is drinking plenty and still having plenty of wet nappies.
