I ate a whole fresh pineapple in about 10 minutes and when into labour the next day early hours. Same for my cousin. Good luck!

A friend of mine swears by Castor oil

Pineapple worked for me also with my first! Has to be fresh though.

I have to say that nothing worked for me. I don't think any foods are seriously proven to induce labour. I drank raspberry leaf tea near the end. With regards to exercise, bouncing on a pilates ball should help get things moving. When I went for my booking appointment this time, I told the midwife my son was two weeks late and she said this time try walking up the stairs sideways! Lol wish I knew that one before.

Did walking up the stairs sideways help?

Hello,

I'm not sure if sunflower seeds are labor inducers, but I can tell I stuffed myself with than as I had a big craving and few hours later my little one arrived!

There are no guarantees that certain foods induce labour but it won't hurt to try. However taking castor oil can be very dangerous and can cause, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and also lead to baby passing meconium before they are born. Very unpleasant and strongly advised against. You could try going for a walk, using Clary Sage oil (please seek advice first though) bouncing on a birthing/exercise ball or, if you're up to it, have sex! Lots of ladies have sworn by it 😉 Otherwise, just take comfort in knowing that baby will come when he/she is ready and your wait will be over very soon.
