Medical following a miscarriage

Hi everyone,

After my 12 week scan last week, tomorrow I am booked in for my medical.

Has anyone got any advise or their own personal experiences to share?

This is my first pregnancy and first miscarriage so no idea what to expect.

I'm really sorry that you've had this experience. I know that it's really hard and horrible to go through.

I had a missed miscarriage found at my 12 week scan last year and I had the vacuum aspiration procedure.

I had some tablets to take before I went to the hospital and took some painkillers before I went in.

At the hospital I had 2 nurses look after me. I was given local anaesthetic and gas and air which really helped with the pain and taking my mind off what was going on.

It didn't take long and wasn't that painful. I was able to leave about 20 minutes later. I had a few days of bleeding but far less than I thought I would.

Although it was a horrid time but the nurses were so lovely and kind which really helped me through.

I hope it goes OK for you, I know how horrid it is. I did fall pregnant not long after my miscarriage and now have a beautiful 7 week old baby girl so please don't lose hope for the future x
