My Daughter at 9 weeks
Despite what people think teething isn't necessarily linked to excess dribbling, it's a developmental thing that coincides with putting things in their mouth ie her thumb. I remember my son getting a bit dribbly around then but it didn't really last long. Teething doesn't usually start until 3months at the earliest for some. Neither of my children had any obvious teething signs & first teeth appeared at around 6months.
My son is 8 months and has been dribbling and chewing since 10 weeks...he has no teeth 🤣
I think it’s possible but at this age it might be just that she’s found the co-ordination to be able to get her hand to her mouth and use her thumb for comfort.
My little boy started sucking/biting his hand (and other stuff too) at about 3 months but he didn’t get his first tooth until 7 months. I guess it’s possible he had discomfort from ‘teething’ all that time but in his case the behaviour itself didn’t mean teeth were imminent and it was more likely to be a developmental thing.
My son started teething at 9 weeks. He had a doctor's appointment so whilst there I asked if they could check his gums. She said he was definitely teething. Although he didn't cut a tooth until 6 months old x
