Hi There,

I just wanted to clarify some details first with you. Have you continued to have monthly periods since November? Have you missed any pills at all even if it's just one?

All pills can have side effects, such as sickness, headaches, changes to menstral cycles, reduced bleeding and for some women periods stop completly with the pill. Therefore it is completly natural to have concerns regarding to pregnancy.

If you have continued to have periods from November it is rare that you would be pregnant. However, rarely ladies can bleed in pregnancy. If you are continuously sexually active since December and have missed any pills pregnancy is a slim possibility. Some ladies have concieved on the pill.

My advice would be regardless if you have concerns taking a pregnancy test wouldn't hurt. My advice would be don't waste money on clear blue tests, most doctors will advise to just by a standard £1 test from shops like asda. I support this as I took a cheap and clear blue test at the same time, my clear blue was negative however my cheap standard test was positive (im now 31 weeks pregnant to date)

This is to do with the sensitivity.

Always read the instructions as you can take tests too early. I brought a early detection test from asda for £2, you can take these six days before you're expected period and it is 99% accurate. Read the full instructions on using the test to ensure reliability. If that test is negative and you feel there is still the potential take another in 3 weeks.

Sorry about the advice being limited this is due to being uncertain if you have continued to have regular periods, missed any pills or have had intercourse since.

Best wishes.

The pill they changed me onto meant that I don’t have period anymore. October was the last time I was sexually active and have continued to take my pill as instructed.

When I was on the combi I was taking it for 24 days with the 7 day break whereas the one I’m on now you take continuously

If you had got pregnant after sex in October, you would be around 8 months pregnant. Are you showing any symptoms of being pregnant? I'm 7 months pregnant, I have a large bump and can feel the baby kicking and moving around. If you think you could be pregnant I would advise you go to your doctor and get checked ASAP as you will have missed a lot of antenatal appointments and scans to check on your and babies health.

Why do you think you might be pregnant if you're on the pill taking it properly?
