Could I be pregnant?

To cut a long story short I’ve had an implant in for the last 3 years. I was due to have it taken out around the beginning of January but the only trained doctor at my practice isn’t available until early feb. Since having the implant my periods have never been regular. I can go months without a period or I can have 2 periods a month so it’s never easy to tell and I can never be certain when I’m going to come on. I’ve been having some symptoms of early pregnancy but more so now as I have developed a lot of nausea and slight vomiting but with no reason as to why. I haven’t eaten or drank anything to cause it and I don’t feel as though I have a bug it’s just really bizarre. Obviously I’m thinking about taking a test but just wondering if it’s a possibility for my implant to stop working earlier than it should or if I’m overthinking. The doctor gave me a prescription for some microgynon over the phone but that was only last week so wouldn’t have prevented me getting pregnant if it did stop working. I’m not bothered if I am pregnant, I’m getting married to my soul mate in May and we wanted to start trying for a baby after the wedding. I just think I may be over thinking it all. Any advice appreciated

Id just suggest you take a test then you’d know the implant could possibly not work near the end of its time so definitely test x

I agree. You need to test. They will want to be seeing you to discuss what to do with the implant if you are too. So find out as soon as you can then get in touch with your gp xx
