Waters Breaking or not???

Help family,

OK so I was gonna have a shower and before that, I felt heavy pelvic pressure so I just went to wee. I was just feeling and thinking could that have been the water break? I was timing it... At 22:15pm, a lil ckear πŸ’¦ came, @ 22:19pm and @ 22:23 and nothing yet.

I just want to make sure as I have read after water break, baby need to come out within 24hours. Could you all please help me out here..... πŸ˜• πŸ˜• Confused.

If your waters have broken you need to be admitted to hospital to give birth within 24 hrs as there is an increased risk of an infection (to the baby). Can you ring the midwife triage number now and explain? They will probably ask you to come in so they can assess whether it is your waters.

How many weeks gone are you??

Mine broke randomly one afternoon and I went in. They let me go home to bring on labour (otherwise I would have just been hanging around on a shared ward until labour came on) and told me to come in the exact same time the next day. I went for a few walks and ate pineapple (but no sex due to risk of infection) and my labour started, so they didn't have to induce me (which is what they'd do if no labour within 24hrs).

It doesn't mean you have to give birth with 24 hrs but bring on labour.

Good luck with the labour and enjoy your newborn :)

I'm 39+3 in few minutes. My thighs are hurting a lil bit.... Baby is getting overly active... I think I'm going to call triage now.

Yes call Triage. When my waters went it was very obvious it was a torrent of water I was sat on the loo for about 15 mins! Just kept coming out! But some women can have leaks which can be harder to tell. If you go in they can test to see if it’s your waters or not xx

I had my mucus plug blood tinged yesterday. I woke up this morning with severe abdominal pains and woke up with a bright/light red blood flow in my panty liner and when I wiped, I saw sticky mucus plug....i also saw a glob of mucus fell into the wc. Later I went to wee and when I wiped, blood stringed mucus and even just now its still the same, but I'm seeing my pad is with a dark brown stains. However, I have been monitoring my contractions which in the timings at 10.20am

10.36

10.45

10.52

11.04 and in that sequence... And it's ongoing. I also saw dark brown discharge in my pad in the afternoon but when I wiped, it was bloody show again

Are these frequent contractions?
