For the past couple days I've been getting pain in my left hip and today it's gotten worse, should I contact my midwife or just leave it? As I know it could be my body preparing for labour and stuff.

Left Hip pain when walking at 35 weeks pregnant
I have exactly the same but right side. I’m 32+4. I wake up in the night with it, every time I turn in bed, feels like my hip has locked. I think it’s where body is changing and preparing itself x
Depends on whether you can manage with the pain or not. I self referred to physio direct and got seen at my local hospital the same day for hip pain, they gave me a mega tubigrip to wear and some exercises.
It’s called PGP and it’s normal but totally awful! Nothing can really cure it but there are some things you can do to try to help with the symptoms: pregnancy yoga, sitting on a birthing ball, wearing a support belt, sleeping with a pillow between your legs from knees to ankles and not sitting/standing/lying in the same position for too long. Kneeling on all fours and keeping knees bent doing large circular movements out to the side with each leg before I get in to bed seems to help ease the pain at night and you can take paracetamol if it’s really bad. At least you’re nearly at the finish line so won’t have to put up with it too much longer. I have been promised by 2 different midwives that it does stop very soon after the birth because you stop producing the hormones that cause it. 🤞they were telling me the truth about that, if not I will track them both down and give them an earful!
