Rib pains 😭

Iknow it may seem like a daft question but this is my 1st pregnancy , I’m 35+3 days pregnant and my ribs are killing hurting more when I cough is this all normal I’m guessing it is but don’t want to google because If I google I panic myself , just want some reassurance thank you x

My ribs were always hurting further along I went because baby was right under them I could always feel her so maybe it could be your baby pressing near them x

I think as well your rib cage lifts out to make room for the growing baby/bump. Mine ache from time to time and I’m 36w tomorrow x

Yep, totally normal! Mine hurt really bad when driving by the time I got that far, they stop hurting as much when the baby drops a bit but still uncomfortable x

I would say normal if pain not there all the time! Baby pressure your rib cage sometimes and I found that if I pressure the painful stop he moves and I get some relief. You should discuss this with your midwife though particularly if it’s a constant pain or one that comes suddenly or after you eat because there are other stuff that can give pain in and around ribs that need medical intervention. Xx
