Shooting pains...

I’m currently 18wks + 2 days, I’ve always had stretching sort of pains throughout pregnancy, I’ve put this down to my body changing, growing and moving. These were uncomfortable but these new pains are sharp, sore and catch me off guard completely! Ouch! They don’t come often and aren’t unbareable but is this normal?!

Hi Hun it can be normal, is this your first baby? When’s your next appointment with midwife? Xx

Yeh, first baby. It’s 17th Dec. I’m not worrying as such, just wondered if it was normal. X

A lot of the pains you get are usually the stretching pains Hun and your organs making room for your baby. If the pains are uncomfortable or constant contact epu or midwife. Congratulations on your pregnancy xx

I had this around 19 weeks and it went away, baby is healthy. So I think it’s normal but mention it to your midwife to be on the safe side. Xx

I feel you. I'm getting extremely bad ligament and siatica pain to the point i can barely walk. I'm 17wks and I've just been signed off work as a carer because I couldn't do anything without being in agony. If it carrys on you could be referred to physio like I've been. Hope it eases off x
