Hey Iā€™m 6 weeks & this will be my first! The last few days Iā€™ve had sevear belly pains, last night in bed I was in agony & this afternoon again at work & lasted about 20mins! Not had any bleeding or discharge, is this normal ladies? I understand that my body is changing but Disnt think the pain would be that much.

Hi Hun if I was you I would go to the early pregnancy unit or a&e and tell them whatā€™s happening just to be on the safe side. Xx

Yeah ring EPU they should give u a scan to check.

Constipation? I got bad pains I thought were cramps. Had me lying on the floor bawling. Turns out I was packing. Literally. Never been so sore. Much better with kiwi fruit and stool softener.

That is what I am experiencing - severe cramps from constipation. Must be the hormones - fluids and natural remedy with figs helping, but still a stuggle.

At least I hope it is not baby cramps...but once I get some relief the pains go.

Xxx

I thought at first it was those ligament pains people were talking about. No blood or anything else unsual. I feel like no one talks about this stuff!! Iā€™m a nurse and I had no idea about the severity of the constipation haha

I am glad you mentioned it - I went through a failed round of IVF and the hormones badly effected my bowels with severe cramps like never before - so I knew what they felt like.

This is a natural pregancy but same problem. Managing it as much as I can. True - nobody tells u about it!

Xxx

I had exactly the same, I went to the early pregnancy unit and had a scan at 4 weeks, which couldnā€™t tell much, and then at 6 weeks which turned out to be over 7 weeks, all was fine an I saw the heartbeat which put my mind at rest a little. Defo get checked out but try not to worry as sounds quite normal

I had really bad pains from 3 - 12 weeks. No bleeding or changes in discharge, the pains would wake me up at night and was literally agony. I went to the early pregnancy unit for scans at 6, 8 and 10 weeks and they said it couldā€™ve been because of how low down the baby had implanted but everything turned out to be fine. Iā€™m now 25 weeks pregnant and everythingā€™s still going well so donā€™t be too worried, :) . Try getting some constipation relief, I found regular bowel movements reduced the frequency of the cramping. Good luck!
