Hi I’m love Im 24 years old, I’m addicted to eating charcoal since 2012 when I live with my parents but now I live abroad I’ve tried my best to stop. I stop for a year and later find myself eating it. sometimes I’ll go to supermarket to get a bag of charcoal, but now I’m engage I’m scared my boyfriend might find out my nasty habit. What do I do?

Get an anaemia test, it’s a potential sign that your body is low in iron.

Have you spoken to your doctor? There is a condition called Pica where suffers find themselves craving and consuming things that aren't typically considered edible. It's normally an extreme sign that your body is missing a particularly group of vitamins or minerals. All of which can be managed with diet and sometimes suppliments. Some times it is more of a mental addiction, but again, your doctor can help diagnose and suggest appropriate treatments xx
