I am a little nervous to be here to "graduate" to this site as I have really only just got my positive result and not due to have my early scan until next saturday. Feels surreal to be posting.
Anyway, I think I am 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant - not sure how to work it out. This is the second time in my entire 41 and a lot years time on this planet. The first time was in march this year with twins. Sadly that ended in a managed miscarriage at 8 weeks due to being anembryonic.
I am on my 6th round of ivf and had a day 6 transfer on 19th October.
I started to have some symptoms before otd, like heavy boobs when I took off my bra, feelings of implantation(if that makes sense), frequent urination, flatulence and tiredness. It's all so glamorous! I myself have posted for other people to drink plenty of water so as to ease these things. But now I have woken up the last few days with no symptoms. Besides feeling a little "heavy" down in that general area. Is this normal?
It's been such a huge long journey to get here full of pain, bumps and tears. Hopefully someone here can advise?
Hi Camillage I found at first my symptoms were on and off. Some days really thirsty other days not, some days sore boobs but again some days not. It's also hard to know what are symptoms of the meds. I would say even now my symptoms are stronger some days than others. Try not to worry, not easy I know I'm worrying all the time at the moment, I think it's hard especially after miscarriage and I'm really sorry you had to go through that. I had my transfer on 30th Aug so I'm 11+6 but I'm not sure how they work it out. When is your early scan? I've got my 12 week one next week. Xx
Thank you. It is reassuring to read. I hope all goes well for your scan. My early scan is next saturday (10th). It is worse than waiting for the pregnancy test - honestly. It's just one hurdle after another. One that I am immensely grateful to be hurtling towards, but like E05, just trying to keep the demons at bay!
Oops, just noticed one or two typos in my post. I am sure people will work it out!
Hello! I remember you from there. I have to admit to having a peek and seeing that there are quite a few people over here before joining. Hope all is going well for you? Xx
It’s nice that there has been a boom of ladies being able to “progress” to this one. I am well thanks. 29 weeks on Sunday. Hope all goes well for you and the wait till 7 week scan isn’t too excruciating (like it won’t be!) xx
Ha ha. Sure, it's a breeze. I have acupuncture seeds in my ears to keep me calm, weekly acupuncture sessions and also seeing a kineseologist. It's going to work and I am totally not going to stress 🤣
Xx
Wow, 20 weeks, that seems to have flown by. There does seem to have been a flux of people getting their bfps it's great. Xx
Morning lovely I had a heavy feeling on and of too. I think it is everything moving and stretching. In terms of symptoms I think it’s the one thing we seriously drive ourselves mad with and are by no means a hard and fast rule. Some people have little to none and others lots. I remember being and still am to a degree confused that even before transfer due to meds my boobs were so heavy and sore I couldn’t sleep yet m still taking meds and some days I have very little to no soreness or heavy ness. Easier said than done but try not to worry. I have stressed myself enough and it gets you no where other than exhausted and nutty lol. Good luck xxx

Thank you so much. It is reassuring. I know lots of people ask the question, and I myself have advised the same. But we do need a little reassurance ourselves sometimes don't we xxx
I remember posting something similar and you responded and now you're in that place. Yeahhhh 🤞🤰🏻🙏
I had cramps, fatigue/tiredness, sore veigny breasts, constipation, flatulence lol. I know these symptoms can be due to the procedure and meds as well as early pregnancy.
Best of luck. Hope your embie sticks like glue in the correct place! Take it easy xxxx
Yes thank you. 9 weeks on Tuesday. Having heartburn, constipation, nausea and tiredness oh and cramps (esp when i sneeze) all the things for you to look forward to hehe. (Its a small price to pay for our little one) and id rather be pregnant with these symptoms than not xxxx
Glad you’ve come over to here to! My symptoms have been so up and down the whole pregnancy especially the boob one! I wish I had some good advice for you but I think by talking on here it definitely helps to feel less alone xx
Agreed. We are one big hormonal family with sore boobs and wind farms 🤣
Welcome!
My symptoms come & go even at nearly 10 weeks!
Apparently the body “ gets used to pregnancy hormones “ & only when they surge do you get symptoms.
I had some cramping in the early weeks- it is where things are stretching & changing, also I have scar tissue on my uterus ligaments which I think made it worse.
My main symptoms were- sore breasts, constipation, bloating, increased appetite, & tiredness. Hormones are now kicking in very weepy ! Isn’t it fun?! xoxo 😘

Thank you. Yes, I am kind of missing the feelings. Although every once in a while through the day (I have just been reminded by it happening again) I get a kind of low butterfly like feeling. I thought it was way too early for that to mean anything. But maybe that is my symptoms for now (clutching at straws) xx
I think the symptoms you describe are totally normal! With my son and then miscarried baby I swear I could feel implementations and I had pretty similar bloating on and off cramps both times. With my bfn FET, I had no symptoms from almost the start and I just knew it won’t work...difficult to say when you are on medicated cycles if symptoms are not artificially induced but I believe some of us can just know what’s going on down there ..
With my son, who born after fully term pregnancy my sickness seriously started after my initial scan after 6wks and until then all what I had it was constipation which could came from PIO but if so still something unusual to me and I knew it my prego symptom.
I think being so early in pregnancy and having on and off symptoms can be very normal really.
Hi Camillage, huge congratulations to you! I’ve also joined here recently after being on the Fertility Network site. When I got my BFP last year I felt pretty normal for the first few weeks, my main early symptom was the ‘heavy’ feeling you describe although it would come and go. I kept asking the midwife about it as I honestly sometimes felt like my insides were going to fall out 🙈 I also had period like cramps throughout my pregnancy. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Xx
Hi my lovely, at that stage I didn’t feel any different and then wam bam it hit me in the 6-7 week... the sickness, tiredness, etc.... don’t worry it will come xx
I’m 8+4 today following ICSI, my symptoms hit hard 6 days post transfer-food aversion, mild nausea, extreme bloating, weird taste in mouth, extreme hunger, then kind of lessened and were much less noticeable, on my days at work when distracted I wondered where they had gone! Had our early scan and the same evening I had to dive out of bed twice to vomit and I’ve had a pretty rough week since!
Good luck and if you don’t get symptoms it’s still normal, you are just one of the lucky ones! Xx

Oh thank you. I know from experience not to wish for things (I.e. implantation bleeding) so I will just continue in blissful non symptom mode. Ha ha. Thank you xx
Glad to see you here and to see that you have your scan booked in 😁 I've never really felt any major symptoms, especially in the very early days. Looking back I guess I had days where I felt a bit "off" but it certainly didn't affect me in my day-to-day life. It's so bloody hard but I would try to enjoy feeling ok, just in case those symptoms kick in later 😂 (but don't worry if they don't!) Xx

Thank you. I am feeling very reassured by all these supportive posts. Thank you so much x

It's surprising how many people don't suffer with morning sickness, extreme fatigue etc. I always thought it was a given to feel like crap for most of your first trimester, but there are a lucky few who bumble along fairly unscathed! Xx
Hey Camillage, I come over here today and the question on my mind is exactly what you posted! Last night my boobs had puffed up and my belly was bloated but that has gone this morning! I wish I was having more symptoms to feel reassured! I think I am 5 weeks or 3 weeks after conception. I get the occasional period like heaviness! X
Still nothing other than the odd heavy feeling or today there is a kind of buzzing every once in a while. I have been googling like mad. Everyone just says to enjoy not having sickness. It's so hard.
Apparently your body can adjust to the hormones and that can be a reason.
I am 4 weeks and 7 days today apparently (according to an app). So will just have to wait and see. Try to be Zen 🙄😜
You must be very similar stage to me. When did you have your transfer? I feel abit sick when I’m hungry but half the time I’m thinking it’s in my head. X these early days are so hard x
Transfer was 19th of October. But actually it was a 6 day blasto so I think I am actually maybe 5weeks. I have had no sick feelings. I have gone back to feeling normal. Which, I am told, I should grab hold of and enjoy ha ha.
I just have to stay calm about it until next saturday. Eeek. When was your transfer date? X
I feel normal too! In trying to worry but can’t help it. I was due to start a Fet this month but did a test last Sunday and it was positive. I had used the ovulation sticks as wanted to see if I’d ovulated as doing a natural Fet you need to ovulate. I therefor believe I conceived 13 or14 October. Our dates are the same!😀
Hi Camillage, congratulations I've got fingers and toes crossed for you that ur baby holds on in there after ur last devastating loss I cant begin to imagine how that must have felt. We had ICSI to have our little girl who is now a lively little nearly 3 year old, we tried for a long time to conceive naturally but it just didnt work so we did the usual doctors visits, hospital etc then finally after a 4 stone weight loss got the fertility treatment. I thought at 10 weeks I was losing her as I had a bleed but it was implantation bleed that had come away. We had close monitoring at 6,10,12,20,32 weeks and she still arrived 6 days late on 27th November. Good luck at ur early scan, u will be able to hear his ur her heartbeat then too as we did at 6 weeks which is an amazing feeling. I'm praying all goes well for you. Keep us all updated hun xx
Awww thank you so much Flowersz. This time does feel different. But I am scared, like we all are, to start getting excited. Just have to try to let go, relax and think positive thoughts. You guys are all so helpful and supportive xxx
Hello to my 3am buddy. Well today its 4.47am haha. This is your time now Camillage how excitingingly scary or scaringly exciting. I know you will go on to a healthy pregnancy (God willing) you wont get this time back so enjoy every minute of it xxx
Aww your little one shares the same birthday as me. Congrats on getting through your long journey, on the birth of your daughter and for the weight loss before your journey! Wow im in awe xx
