I’m 47-48 and had 2 boyfriends in 15 years. So not lasted more than 6 months and the last was 7 years ago and always been mainly on my own. Miscarried in 2004 and we were only together 6 week but I’m O Resus Neg. and so I’m going for my Eggs tested next month. It only costs £190?to check... although I’ve had a lot of negative friends and work mates. I’m now keeping it to myself and already on folic Acid now... starting the Gym ... I’d say body and looks about 35-45 in good health as hardly been touched. Lol anyone any ideas ?

What tests are they doing on your eggs? There is a blood test marker called AMH which looks at your ovarian reserve and also you can get something called a follicle count where they see how many follicles on your ovaries (that can release an egg) but this changes from month to month. It’s good to get your thyroid and sex hormones tested too.

I have a few friends that have started to look at donor insemination...

Not sure what ideas you are hoping for.

By all means test all you want its.really up to you. However to be honest age in a woman's case is very important is terms of egg quality.

Also re ivf, if you are planning uk treatment I would check if you will be able to have this (yes even privately), as there are age limits that uk providers abide by, so you might have to consider egg donation or going abroad, so lots of other costs to factor in.

I’m already accepted and but Thankyou. I already know it’s late on in a woman’s life but I’m untouched hardly been about and tbh I’m ready for the answers ie no . So but yes I’m giving it a try anyway. I would not expect possative answers from everyone anyway as most places won’t take you over the age of 45. Thanks Tc . K

At 47 you probably have less than 1 per cent chance. Look into donor eggs abroad they do this in Athens up to sfed 50 good luck. Sadly it's not how old you look on the outside it's your body on the inside good look@!
