So I have a serious sinus issue. I haven’t been able to sleep the last few days because of it. I went to the prescribing nurse who checked my temperature and then she really p*ssed me off by using the same ear instrument in my mouth. To which I flinched and said “ errr you’ve just put that in my ears so aren’t you going to dispose of it” she was obviously not expecting me to say anything so rushed me out of the doctors. I was told to get some soothers and paracetamol. I’m asthmatic so I can’t breath at all and feel fobbed off!
Is there anything I can take that’ll get rid because I’m so done with being ill and crap.
Sorry for constantly being a nag

What sort of sinus issue have you got? Is it something that could be relieved with saline spray? If so I’d recommend sterimar nasal spray.
I had chronic sinus congestion which turned out to be actually worsened by long-term use of medicated nasal sprays (I knew I shouldn’t use them long term but my symptoms were awful so kept giving in!). I swapped them for the saline ones when I was pregnant and now don’t need to use them at all. xx
You are a genius!!!! I went in to Tesco and purchased an off shelf nasal spray and it’s worked wonders. I can now breath through my nose!!!!!😭😭😭💕 thank you so so so soooo much 💕 x
Regarding the instrument used ... if you mean the light (otoscope) ... it's not disposable as they cost circa £100. What is disposable is the ear piece you stick on (which is the only bit that comes into contact with skin) which you dont need to use in the mouth, also when shining light in the mouth you do not actually touch any skin and tissue in the mouth so there isnt any direct contact.
I had a really hot shower and it helped for a hour or two and then I went back to being bunged up again. I did try a nasal spray and within 5 mins I was able to breath again💕😘 x
