Cramps

I’m 5 weeks pregnant and have had some spotting / brown discharge. Have been checked out by hospital who say it’s normal. But I’m getting cramps at night, very much like period pains, again they didn’t seem worried, just wondering if anyone else has these pains?

Hi, I’m also 5 weeks and getting the same cramps, I’ve been told they’re growing pains and not to worry about them it’s hard not to but best to try stay positive about it. Good luck x

Thank you! At first they said it was implantation but I know that’s done now... trying not to worry, it’s my first so I’ve no idea what to expect.

It’s hard not to worry, I miscarried last year so I’m on pins atm, but these cramps are a little different from the one so had last time so all seems ok. A lot of women have cramping right through especially it being a first, body has to expand to make room for baby.

Oh I’m sorry to hear that, I wish you all the best and I know many friends who miscarried and went on to have a baby the next time.

Can I ask how the cramps differ from last time?

Yeah I have friends that have also had healthy babies. Last time it was constant nothing would shift the cramps at all, and it was my full abdomen where as now it’s sometimes the right then the left, and I only really get it when moving about a lot at work or at night when I’m moving about.
