Hi ladies I’m about 27 weeks pregnant now starting to struggle with my breathing. I have had this checked as I also had higher back. Was a bit scared that it was something serious like a blood clot. Test came back negative seen like it’s where the baby is lying that is causing the problem. I wonder if anyone else had this problem and if there is anything I could do to help with it

Hi ccopeland, I have asthma and had terrible breathing issues with both my pregnancies in the third trimester. You diaphragm has less room to stretch so it does become more difficult. Blood clots cause a horrible stabbing pain so as long as you’re pain free it won’t be that. It will just be your body getting used to the baby being in the way. Try not to worry too much & take things a bit easier than normal xxx

I’m 37 weeks pregnant and have been struggling with breaking particularly shortness of breath and losing my breath quickly even just by walking upstairs - unfortunately think it’s just part of the process just try and take it easy and slow things down x

Im not sure there is anything they could give you except maybe inhalers.

Inhalers are only good if you actually have wheezing/asthma symptoms ... if it's the position baby is lying in. I medication can fix that. Hopefully baby will start moving down soon

Go gave me inhalers during my first pregnancy as I was struggling to breath. It won't hurt to go gp and ask if they can do anything

Maybe try antenatal yoga. Might give the baby more room to manoeuvre. My daughter was breech and I had days when I could hardly breathe as she was so high with her head in my ribs
