I am 10 weeks and now but worried as have had a small amount of brown discharge this morning when wiped and on my panty liner (sorry TMI).Appears to come and go. Think this is ok or should I seek help? Not seen midwife yet so wouldnβt know who to call anyway. Not had anything like this apart from the start π£π

Speak to your GP and ask to be referred to the early pregnancy unit. They will then scan you and do blood tests to make sure all is okay. Some bleeding in pregnancy is common so try not to worry (easier said than done, I know) but its important you get checked out for reassurance if nothing else. Also speak to your clinic as they might recommend increasing progesterone xx
Hi hon. Thinking of you. If you call NHS 111 they can refer you for an extended access GP appointment so you can get an appointment this weekend. Also, I know my local hospital has a maternity helpline patients can ring for advice. Maybe your local hospital has a similar support service? Sending hugs, Iβm sure everything will be okay but worth getting checked to put your mind at rest. xxx π€
Thanks Hun good advice. No idea what numbers are as not got to midwife yet doh but yes have now called 111 and am out of hours gp will call me. π€π€ all is ok βΊοΈ thank you for ur input xx
That k. Unfortunately not done the below that recently so is out of the blue and v worrying. It good they gonna check it out and just so hope it not the worst and may be either an infection or one those things. We will see π
Had you had sex or masturbated recently? If so the same thing happened to me several times in the first trimester and all was completely fine, it's very common. But if your worried there's absolutely no harm in getting referred to the EPU.
Yep I did. Had out of hours doc late last night and scan first thing tomorrow. π€π€ all ok π
I had brown bleeding at 5 weeks and bright red at 9 weeks- both scared me and I went to my gp who referred me to the EPU (with the first iβd not met with my midwife yet either). Having a scan on both occasions was very reassuring.
Some bleeding in pregnancy (I now know) is not unusual in pregnancy. The biggest source of concern is if you have blood clots or pass enough blood to soak a pad in an hour or so. But itβs always worth getting any concerns checked out.
This may not be the case for you, but the lovely sonographer I saw at 9 weeks told me the blood I saw at that point was common and related to the placenta coming in.
Thank u for this. Oh so hope that is the case for me too. Got a scan tomorrow morning to check things out and has obs taken last night which all fine. Def comes and goes and not always much def not enough to soak through a pad so hoping all ok π€π€ just the cramping yesterday that freaked me out too but ok at mo and doc said that can be quite normal. Oh who knows just hope all is fine too. We will see. Thank u for input Hun xx
This did happen to me I saw told itβs okay if itβs brown blood they said it was just old blood but they gave me a scan just to make sure and everything was fine x
