Possible miscarriage

Had early scan at 5 weeks told was having a missed miscarriage to come back in two weeks to be re scanned! However my morning sickness is getting worse as every passing day! Had quick internal with my gp she said my womb feels full n something happening there! Don’t have scan for few days yet but I don’t know what to think! Am I miss carrying or could I still be pregnant?

It's possible either way hun. I doubt any of us would want to tell you a definate in case we are wrong as we aren't medical professionals. But it's been known before that a miscarriage was misdiagnosed

At 5 weeks it is possible that they couldn’t see anything yet and that it has not been a miscarriage. I guess they went by what they thought it might most likely be and have asked you to come back to then be certain.

They could test with bloods. Take bloods, then 24 hours later again. If the levels are falling it is a miscarriage.

Please watch out for pains, one sided and tip of the shoulder. It’s unlikely but if you have that go back to the EPU quickly as it could also be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy.

I had an eptopic 2 years ago tube removed ! The embryo is definitely in the right place was just too small to make anything out but she said I was having a missed miscarriage as there was a pool of blood beside the embryo and not around it! So that’s why I’ve to go back in two to see is it still growing or is it gone! Just d wait is killing me but feeling more pregnant everyday x

I’m glad to hear it’s in the right place, that’s the biggest worry... fingers crossed it continues to grow!

It’s a scary time, isn’t it?

I’ve also had an ectopic, also right tube removal.

Wishing you all the best!

I can imagine - wishing you all the best!

Why were you having a scan at 5 weeks? We’re you bleeding?

I was told at 12 weeks I was miscarrying and they don’t do anything for 2 weeks just incase people get there dates wrong and prob see is you naturally miscarry which I did. Then had the scan 2 weeks later to make sure all the tissue was out and a pregnancy test.

No I wasn’t bleeding I was having a scan for my dermoid cyst on my ovary and that’s when they discovered I was pregnant! No bloods done yet I’d say they will do that on the next scan if they think it’s gone x

Ahh fingers crossed to don’t miscarry and all goes well.

As long as you still have one ovary and one Fallopian tube you can become pregnant! The tube can pick and egg up from either side 😊

Are u serious? So an ovary on 1 side and a tube on d other I can still get pregnant? That’s just amazing 😉

Yes, definitely!

I’m in a couple of support groups and there are plenty of women who have got pregnant this way.

Your tube isn’t attached to the ovary and gets signals when an egg is released. Usually the tube that is closest will pick up but with just one tube... it can ‘reach over’ and pick up from the other side!

There’s a good supper group on Facebook: TTC after an ectopic’. People and wisdom from all around the world, I thoroughly recommend joining, so many go through what we’re going through and it’s a great support.

I wouldn’t have thought so but I have just read it is possible so good luck xx
