Okay so I started my Period Saturday night/Sunday morning (4th March). I finished my period yesterday (8th March), as there was only the slightest bit of period left.
Now, I think my cycle is around 20-22 days as coming off the pill in October/November time messed up my once very regular cycle, which before was every 23 days I think - maybe I'm wrong.
However, I am unsure as to when I should take an ovulation test? I have 10 clear blue ovulation tests, but I don't want to test too early as I would like to make them last as long as possible as they're the more expensive ones. Who thought TTC would be so expensive haha!
Any ideas as to when I should start taking ovulation tests?
Is it around Day 8 - which will be this Sunday (11th March)?
Thank you for reading and sorry if I've confused anyone!

Apparently you ovulate 2 weeks after your period x so you shud ovulate anytime up to next week I think?? Confuses me xx I still haven't had a period x probs best to test every day from now x
I know it is different for each person but I was just wondering roughly as I have no idea when I ovulate due to being on the pill for 2 and a half years. I have periods now, but my periods used to last well over a week, now they last anywhere between 4-7 days! My cycle just gone was only 20 days, whereas the one before this one was 23? I'll have to look on my app on my ipad at home as my phones broke - so inconvenient haha!
I'll test tomorrow morning and see if it says anything then. Thank you hun!
Maybe go to the doctors about not having a period yet? xxx
Hi my periods after coming off the pill were 23/23/24/25 days then I got preg so maybe your periods need to regulate. I ovulate at day 11 at 25 days so I think you should prob start test from day 6 or 7. I can never get a positive with the ovulation sticks so I’m getting a blood test just to make sure I am ovulating.
I have had the same debate! I have a 24/25 day cycle. Started using the clear blue ovulation test on day 6 (as the box states) and did not get a flashing smiley until day 9. According to an app I had been using I should be ovulating on day 9, so I was concerned I hadn’t seen a smiley until day 9. However I’ve tried a new app and that has ovulation on day 12! I also found using the test in the evening more useful. Good luck!x
Which app do you use? I use Ovia and it states my fertile week is up until the 12th of March, it states my highest point of being fertile is around the 10th March which is today, however I got a low result on advanced clear blue?! It’s my cycle day 7 today, (10th March) so I’m just confused... maybe it’ll be the same case for me and will show fertility on cycle day 9 maybe
I’ve read that sometimes you can still ovulate slightly later even though you have a shorter cycle, not exactly 14 days before the start of your next period. Maybe try on both the app dates and the ovulation dates. It’s my first month using the test so it’s interesting to see the difference between the app and test. I don’t know why I was thinking the app would be automatically right!x
It’s my first month using ovulation tests too and I thought the app would automatically be right too! What we like ay haha, I did get a flashing smiley face this morning so I hope this isn’t month!x
Do you have a period app? They are good for tracking ovulation fertile days and periods you can adjust to your cycle and it’ll give you an idea when you should be ovulating as long as your having sex regularly days before ovulation and 1-2 after that’s the best chances to get pregnant.
Buy the cheap ones and do one everyday starting 2 days after your period. I ovulate about a week after my period so everyone’s different. If you keep the tests you can line them up and see them get darker gradually. With the clear blue you need to have some idea when to use them so do the cheapies and use clear blue to confirm ovulation xxx
I’m deffo going to buy some cheap ones! I did get a flashing smiley face tho this morning with the advanced clear blue ovulation test so hopefully be my month thank you for your help xxx
