A bleed after intercourse

Hi. I was wondering if anyone maybe able to shed some light on what it could be that I've experienced. I had a normal period that lasted 7 days which is normal for me. Me and my partner waited a week after my period ended to have sex plus was the only time we really had to do the deed as we are trying to conceive this was Wednesday. All was well until Thursday morning I woke up and I was soaking it was like a period had come all at once everywhere. I saw my doctor on the Friday and she examined me and said everything was fine so to do a pregnancy test which weirdly came back inconclusive as we couldn't make out of there was a second line or not so had to test again Sunday. Sunday was negative but the bleeding was still really heavy and I was suffering from really bad cramping even sitting down was a problem I was beside myself didn't know what to do its now Tuesday and the bleeding has slowed down alot this is isn't normal for me. Sorry its so long had to make sure I didn't miss anything thanks x

When was your last cervical smear?

I had smear couple months ago came back all clear and have had two internal examinations since and swabs taken twice which came back clear so even the doctor is confused
