Bleeding and cramping

Hello,

I am nearly 8 weeks pregnant. I have been experiencing some brown discharge for over a week and yesterday a lot of cramping like period pain. After a few hours as I went to the toilet I bled and a small cloth of blood also came out. I have panicked and cried a lot. I went to the hospital. I had my urine and blood checked and also the doctor checked my uterus etc. To him it seemed ok but he could not guarantee this wasn’t a miscarriage so he booked a scan for Friday. Today I am still bleeding a little bit but more when I wipe after peeing but the cramps are still here. Stronger a times, but they go and come back.

I am terrified !! Always crying., keeping thinking I lost my baby but will have to wait for Friday to find out.

Please can anyone give me some advice on whether this bleeding as happened to anyone? Is it normal to have bleeding and cramps?

Hi I’m the same I have been having brown discharge last night and a flash of blood today when I’ve wiped I contact midwife surgery today they say it’s normal but if it gets worse to go in haven’t had any more blood and very light discharge like berly there, I’m meeting my midwife tomorrow for the first time so will see if I can go in for a scan sooner hope your ok I’m the same as you not stoped crying all day xxxxx

Thank you so much for your comment. I also contacted midwife today as everytime I went to wee there was some red blood only when I wiped but the cramps are not going away. She said that bleeding is not normal and I did well by going to the hospital but she also said that as long as it does not get any heavier I should be ok to wait until Friday for the scan. To our peace of mind I did read a lot here if other mothers bleeding and cramping and still the pregnancy carried so I just hope we will be ok. I wish you the very best of luck. I know it feels terribly and I can’t stop thinking about it but I have slight hope we will be ok.

Hi Becca,

I didn’t know if to responde because didn’t want to scare you but then thought that you might not Be feeling the same so I decided to responde.

I had some mild pain during the day yesterday and then later at night cramping was again bad. I did bleed only a little bit and mostly after a wee or when wiping. This morning woke up and wasn’t feeling to bad but around 9am still 11am more cramping and I couldn’t take it anymore. I went to A&E and as the doctor examine me I had a miscarriage. It came out right there. I was in shock and still now I’m crying. I am devastated.

I hope you are ok and please I hope I did not scare you. Every pregnancy is different and a lot of woman that bleed are still ok with the baby.

Oh no I’m so so sorry sending lots of love, I have been feeling ok thank you going for a private scan tomorrow I check and I would have been due on this week and midwife said it can be a reason I’m so sorry again xxx

Hi, was meaning to reply unfortunately I went the bep clinic and had an emergency scan when checking they seen I had a missed miscarriage I should have been over 10 weeks and the baby hasn’t grown since 5 and there was no heartbeat that day I can home and I can only describe I had a miscarriage that night the pain was unreal went back last week for another scan to make sure I was all a clear and all was ok I had passed everything that I needed to hope you ok xxxx

Hi Becca,

I am so sorry my lovely! I thought it was just a scare with you, I am really sad to hear this. It’s so hard isn’t it to get past it? It took me a while to recover emotionally but I kept thinking the sooner I feel better again and look after myself the faster I can try again and this helped me. Thank you for sharing with me and I wish I could give you a hug.

On the 14th I will do a pregnancy test again and I will have to ring the hospital with the result. Have they told you anything on what you need to do?

Yeah I need to do a pregnancy test again on 19th and if it’s negative then all is ok if positive I need to go back, yeah I feel the same as you, I knew something wasn’t right and already went to the hospital knowing deep down let me know how you get on, it’s happened at such an awful time not being able to get a hug from family but am sure when it’s right it will happen xxxxx

Hi Becca! How funny is this, I was thinking about you today as I came here after a long time and guess what I just heard from you 😊 I am good my dear, how are you??? I am pregnant again 6 weeks. Panicking a little bit again as I have no symptoms but at least no spotting or anything. How are you doing?

Oh I am glad your doing good I am doing amazing I am also pregnant 5 weeks 3 days I found out on Friday I have booked in for a scan at 8 weeks this time to help me I fell so scared again but I feel blessed at the same time I have dull sickness and really heavy breasts

I googled the closest one to me by Liverpool and it’s a clinic called your baby scan it’s £60 but just for reassurance
