Hi Ladies. Maybe my question is stupid but I want to make sure. I would like to colour my hair, can I do it if I am 14 weeks pregnant? I read that I should wait and do it in second trimester. I have brown hair and I want a little bit darker but my sister told me it can be green instead brown ;)

I had mine done after the first trimester during my second pregnancy. My midwife said it'should fine and it caused no problems!

Think it's only bleaching where it can go wrong, I dyed my hair from 14 weeks it was fine :) it was after pregnancy when my hair went bad, tried to bleach it, went awfully wrong

I believe it’s ok but if you are unsure I would advice you to speak to a pharmacist to get them to check the ingredients to see if there are any that are harmful to the baby if absorbed into the skin. I’ve heard that you should also try to avoid applying the dye too close to the scalp.

Hi 😁 This is currently my 6th pregnancy and I have dyed my hair in all of mine safely without any problems 👌 you are currently 14 weeks so have entered the 2nd Trimester. There is no evidence that chemicals in hair dye are toxic or harmful to baby. Enjoy your new darker hair 😉 ♥

Theres no evidence that hairdye causes harm in pregnancy butility the results coUldale be different due to your hormones affecting how the chemicals work. I chose not to dye my hair until week 39.
