I know when you're pregnant you lose less hair so your hair gets thicker. I want a hair cut but don't want to get it thinned only to find half of it falls out a day later!

How soon after giving birth will my hair thin out?
Mine started shedding about 3 months after my son was born. He is 1 next Saturday and its still dropping out like there is no tomorrow!! I wouldn't have it thinned as you dont know how much you will loose if you do at all... some people dont!! Mine was almost down to my waist, had it cut all one length to my shoulders to make it look thicker!! Id just have a really good trim then see what happens as everyone is different xx
You see i get my hair chemically relaxed and it continuosly fell out until i had my daughter and now its thicker than ever!
My son is 9 months, I was taking breast feeding vitamins, I shed hair but not at a rate where I thought I was loosing it, it might not happen not so's you'd notice anyway. What will be will be
How long is a piece of string? Everyone is different so there is no way to know when it will happen to you and to what extent. If you have very thin hair and you think it would be very noticeable if any of your hair fell out then maybe don't get it thinned out just get a trim and see what happens? My LO is four months old and my hair is falling out at the same rate it did before I got pregnant and I have seen no change at all. Unless your hormones run wild then the hair that falls out is just the extra hair that has stuck around during pregnancy so at the end of the day you should be left with the same thickness of hair as you did pre pregnancy.
My hair started to fall out when my lo was 3 months. Seems like a lot but it's only the hair which wasn't shed during pregnancy. But as above everyone is different!!
Mine shed when lo was 8wks until about 6 months.
Its very thin now and I have a weird spiky fringe where it is growing back
Very annoying
Mine has just started to fall out or really to come out in handfuls! My baby is five months and I was enjoying having the extra thick and shiny hair of pregnancy, but it is thinning so rapidly that I may go and see my GP. Each person is different, so you will have to see what happens, it all depends on your hormones!
