After losing quite a bit of weight at the start of my pregnancy, I'm now back to my pre pregnancy weight at 27 weeks. Just wondering how much people gained in their 3rd trimester? I'm worried about ending up massively heavy when I give birth!

3rd trimester weight gain?
Not very helpful but forget about it. I stopped weighing myself after about 20 weeks lol x
😂😂 I know that's what I should do! But I am mildly obsessed with gaining 5 stone and ending up absolutely gigantic. Think I've got a complex 🤷🏽♀️😂
I was the same because i lost 6 stone a number of years ago (although had put 2 of it back on before being pregnant) so i was petrified id balloon back to my weight from then! I weighed myself 4 weeks after having my son and was 1 stone heavier than before being preganant so i figure i didnt put 4 stone on lol x
This totally crossed my mind too after losing a stone 🤣
How are you feeling lovely? x
I'm good thanks lovely. Been suffering a little bit with my hips but got my physio referral through yesterday so hoping that helps.
How are you doing? x x
Oh no! Sounds nasty. Glad you've got a referral to the physio, hopefully they can help. I'm starting to question whether it might be possible to die from heartburn as mine is beyond ridiculous! Otherwise just tired really, and my bump is so huge. Can't complain though, I love being pregnant x
Eugh heartburn sounds the worst. Touch wood haven't had that joy yet!
I may be a bit uncomfortable sometimes but would not change it for the world! Getting so excited to meet our little girl x x
I've had heartburn since t he very start but I did suffer from it before I was pregnant so I'm not surprised. Nothing a few rennies doesn't fix. I'm so excited too, my friends have organised me a baby shower this weekend so it's all feeling very real now x
Can't believe you're 27 weeks already!! Honestly, just eat reasonably well and your body will sort itself out xxx
I know, it's flying by! I think my diet is pretty atrocious so I really need to think about improving that x
You may be at your pre-pregnancy weight but it's not all you - you have to factor in that you're also now carrying a baby who probably weighs over a kilo by now, plus a couple of liters of water. So technically you probably weigh less than before pregnancy, if that makes you feel better
I lost a stone pre-pregnancy and at 25 weeks pregnant I have already gained nearly 2 stone. I have been eating normally so have decided to accept it and get on the scales at the other end 🙈
I don’t appear to have put weight on my face or bum/legs so I am blaming the ever growing bump 😂
Wow 27 weeks! Time is flying 😁 I lost a stone in the first 3 months due to sickness, but I have put it back on now. I’m 28 weeks so just a little ahead of you. I am a bit worried that i’ll balloon too as i’ve put on about 1/3 stone above my pre preg weight and eating loads now I can, but bizarrely i’m still small and people are commenting on how small I am and how I should eat more! I just look like i’ve swallowed a football 😂 I’ve decided not to dwell on it too much and concentrate on growing my little miracle 👍
I wouldn’t worry about it, I’ve put on 3 stone and counting! If you’re big it’s probably all bump and it’ll be worth it by the end x
I put on 4.5 stone during my pregnancy, I’m sure that was cause of my overwhelming craving for kfc gravy and chips 🙈. I’ve managed to lose 4 stone of it so far and working on the last bit. I wouldn’t worry too much about the weight gain unless it was severely excessive. I would try to stop weighing and enjoy the last trimester, there’s plenty of time after to lose any weight gained. I go on walks frequently as part of my diet and exercise routine since having my little man. He loves a good stroll in his buggy 😁 xx
Ive put on nearly 2 stone, but I did almost the same with my first pregnancy and ended up losing it all and then some by breastfeeding away the fat 😂 planning to do the same again, but I will have to reign it in a bit, Ive been eating an unsustainable amount of sugary treats! My husband works from home and is much more diligent with his eating, so my plan is to get him to make me a salad for lunch when he makes his everyday once baby is here. I think you have to go with how you feel, if you keep moving and keep fit for labour, worry about the weight after xxx
Hi,
I'm 24 weeks pregnant with twins. I lost 6.5lbs during 1st trimester but that's all back on now plus more than 1 stone 🙈 .
I try to eat healthy, but having moments of intense hungry where I eat a lot of carbs. I had an appointment last Monday and doctor is not worry. So I decided to accept it and get on to feed my miracle babies.
I'm blaming the additional blood and fluid that our bodies need to retain. I'm loving my growing bump and it’ll be worth it by the end
xx
Some great advice ladies, thank you all! I think I need to stop worrying, eat better and focus on the health of my baby x
I put on 3 stone during the whole pregnancy. So soon as I hit 13 weeks, I was putting on between 1-3lb each week x
I put on 3 stone total (was 8 stone 9 pre birth), lost 2 stone in the first month after birth through breastfeeding and eating my usual diet. Four months later I have about a stone to lose but some of that is definitely boobs 😂 and I’m just starting to exercise again, so that should help 🤞🏼
