Odd pains at 9 weeks

Hi I am currently 9 weeks pregnant with my first. I had a scan at 61/2 weeks as I was cramping, this showed a viable pregnancy in the right place. However, in the last week I have been experience sharp stabbing like pains on either side (where my ovaries would lie) and a dull ache by my right hip. I have had no bleeding and the pain isn't severe enough to go to A&E. I have my first midwife appointment on Friday, but was wondering if I should make a doc appointment before hand. I had just though this was the normal sort of pain as things are stretching and getting bigger but am I missing something!

Hi, it could well be stretching pains as they can actually get very painful especially with your first as you are stretching for the first time. I actually got them quite bad even with this pregnancy my 4th but I remember they were really bad with my first and at one point I was convinced it was serious. If you are doubled over in pain though get to A&E and get checked out x
