9 weeks and spotting

I have turned 9 weeks ( I think im 9 weeks but have not yet had my fist appointment with the midwife) and have noticed spots of light pink blood when I went to the toilet. I havent experienced this with my previous pregnancies. I dont have any pain in my abdomen or cramps. Im hoping its nothing and the spotting will stop.

I'd say ring 111 or your GP just in case. You don't want to put anything to change. You should be fine though as long as there's not loads of blood or cramping. Some spotting is normal during pregnancy xx let us know how you get on xx

There was hardly anything after that and today theres just a bit of pink discharge. I thought a bit of spotting is normal too. I do have a flue, nose bunged up, cough and feel so cold. And to top it up, headache aswell. Its difficult getting out of bed.

I had some more blood yesterday and a little this morning, so ive booked an appointment with the GP. Hope it goes well.

I went to my GP and she booked me in for an early scan the next morning. I was nervous but thankfully everything looks okay. They did give me information about threatened misscarriage and I was told to go back if I pass clots or have heavier bleeding. I am still bleeding slightly but will think positive.

Not related to having sex is it? Just because apparently bleeding after sex in pregnancy is normal. x

No cant even think about having sex lol Im always too tired and dont feel well at all. I dont have much energy to anything, I really hope I feel better soon. I feel like such a bad mother as I have other kids too and feel I cant do my best for them.

Don't ever think that way! You are doing best you can only this pregnancy and hormones are making you feel awful (that's how I felt from week 8-16) and quietly I thought to myself: 'Luckily this is my first child because I would not be able to look after others in this kind of state!'

Just be patient and this will pass and you'll feel better again!

Big hug,x

Thank you! xx

I had spotting with 2 of my 4 pregnancies, both of my boys but not the girls. It's always a lot lighter and never heavy bleeding, it's pink or light brown and not red. Don't panic too much it usually stops but def discuss it with a medical professional. Also if you have had previous c-sections not sure if you have, sometimes it's just the stretching and hormonal changes around the scar tissue x
