Colic remedy
I think the gripe water is simply homeopathic but I'm not sure about mixing so many remedies.....I know it's distressing and you're beside yourself wanting baby to be restfull and also for you to have some peace but the important thing I learned from colic is that it just is. We tried everything but in the end, it's all about your baby's gut growing....over time they just don't get it any more. Nothing really works better than patience and time....altho there are a lot of quacks who will peddle you all kinds of nonsense to take advantage of your desperation. Gentle clockwise tummy massage and bicycle leg movements will help....just as it helps us when we have trapped wind. A good cuddle and lullaby also works wonders to calm the stress. Good luck....it is but a phase x
Hi lovely, my 4th was a very colicky baby and we used colief, it worked wonders. It's available from boots etc. Only thing is you have to make the bottles up in advance but that's not a problem although hv etc frown upon it xx
I used Colief as well and it was amazing. I think it works for those children who have difficulty digesting the milk proteins so the traditional gripe water does not work. We were able to get it on prescription as my child was premature and losing what little weight she had gained before we introduced the Colief.
Colic cannot really be helped; unfortunately , it must resolve itself over the next six months or sooner. My son was colic for six months and it was hard, now he is 23 ( thank god).
