Read some stuff and now I'm scared! Advice needed.

Hey, sorry about the TMI but this morning I had pretty nasty dihorrea and now I'm getting lower abdomen cramps (not severe). I stupidly went online to check that it was normal and read that it could be a sign of early labour - I'm 17 1/2 weeks so it has left me feeling really uneasy. Has anyone else had this in the 2nd trimester? It could be nothing more than too much fibre but it's bothering me now :( Must stop reading stuff on the Internet!!

Do you normally have funny bowels? I altered from constipation to diarrhoea throughout my pregnancy. Just keep an eye on things make sure you're not bleeding etc. Take it easy admd drink fluids to make up for the loss.

Thank you :) I'm a lot better this morning so hopefully it was just a blip. That's definitely a lesson for me to stop reading stuff on the Internet!! Xx

More likely to be a tummy bug or a reaction to food. Glad you are feeling better this morning.

Also, we must be due around same time, I'm due on 17th Dec :)

Xx

I have IBS that was totally manged with food until I became pregnant now it's all over the place. Pregnancy just messes with your digestion. keep an eye on things and drink plenty.

Best advice I received was stay away from Google, I was getting myself really worked up early on. I have my moments of weakness but it just leaves me stressing.

Don't forget you can always contact your midwife, they should have given you both an urgent and non urgent number x
