Holiday in Tenerife with a 9 month old
Hi, I don't know about what it's like in Tenerife but did you know you can order food/milk/nappies etc to Boots at the airport and collect it airside after you have been through check-in and x-Ray? I know this has helped a lot of people as it doesn't impact on your luggage allowance. Hope you have a lovely trip x
We've booked a holiday to Tenerife as well with a then 2.5 year old and a 10 month old. She's breast-fed and I'm hoping she will be then as well but otherwise I'd do as suggested above and order your usual formula milk to collect in the airport.
Regarding food I would simply give them whatever you usually do at home... My understanding is that there are the usual supermarkets etc. We do baby-led weaning and I'm intending on just letting my girl eat whatever we eat (the basics of course, fruit, bread, pasta etc). If in doubt I guess you'd need to take some food jars of ready meals with you. With a 9 month old I wouldn't stress too much, enjoy!
I always took my kids abroad when they were little. Few times had been still breastfeeding which was great! When had to use bottles on older babies I took a flask and some bottled water then could make fresh throughout the day when we were out and about. I have got microwave sterilise bottles now - check if there is a microwave and get a few. They are fab!
