Don't understand the 20+4 people are referring to in posts...

Hi, I am reading the posts and am sure it's obvious to everyone but.... I don't understand what 20+ 4 means.

Hi there,

First number is the pregnancy week, the second number is the additional number of days.

20+4 means 20 weeks and 4 days

Hi there JenLamb87. People are referring to their stage of pregnancy so 20+4 is 20 weeks and 4 days, or 12+6 would be 12 weeks and 6 days.

I found it really hard to work out weeks at the start of my pregnancy but now I've got so used to I don't know how many months I am off the top of my head.

I'm the other way round now I've had my baby and don't need her weighed every week. She's just over five months, which after lots of counting is 23 weeks 2 days. (23+2) 😊 x
