Anyone know if 4D scans are safe. I have read conflicting information. I want to have one. Thanks

We had a 4 D scan.... It was amazing! I didn't even look into how safe they were because they use the same equipment as when scanning you in hospital. What they don't tell you in hospital is that most of their machinery will switch between ultrasound/3D they just don't want to as people will want them all the time!

It's so lovely seeing the in the womb and the sonographer was fantastic.

If they weren't safe why would they use them in hospital when ther are complications with birth?

One thing to remember is that they only recommend them during 28-32 weeks as then the baby is too big and you don't get such a clear view!

Apart from that if you've got the money go for it!
