I'm 13 weeks into the pregnancy looking forward to not being so sicky and tired but have developed horrible pain in my hip, bum and leg. I'm allergic to paracetamol and I've been using a hot water bottle but I could do with some relief in pain as I can't sit down! Any advice? I've got some physio booked next week, just feel like tearing my leg off!

My friends had Sciatica during pregnancy and swears by Acupuncture. Definitely worth a try, I've heard good things! I hope it gets better soon X

I'll ask the physio I think the same clinic may have one. I'm struggling as I just can't sit down at all, tomorrow at work will be interesting.

You poor thing

I had the same pain with my 2nd and was told I had spd I had physio (I found this very painful sorry to have to tell you that) and they also told be about a bump band I had to wear it around the the top of my hips rather than under my bump as I also has mussule (can't remember the name now) that was not working in the way that it should, it allowed me to walk and stand with less pain (the only problem is that you are not allowed to sit down with it on as it puts to much pressure on baby) the band is by Emma-Jayne and I bought mine from boots. Hope the pain goes soon x

Thankyou, SPF was mentioned by a friend too. I will ask about the band.

I have same problem, and paracetamol irritates my tum so tend to avoid it. You can wear those sticky heat pads if not directly stuck on bump, available in boots Asda etc. I use a micro wheat bag rather than water bottle as can be molded around you more. Dont use deep heat gel as can harm baby. Physio does help loosen my joints and I'm about to try acupuncture next week which is supposed to help. Try support pillow at night which might make pain better during the day. Hope u get some relief soon
