Hi, never posted before! Have just found out I am pregnant again after a miscarriage 2 months ago. Before that we had been trying for 18months. I feel so lucky to have fallen again and so quickly but am feeling really anxious. Feel like I am feeling every cramp, twinge and making myself panic....... Any tips on staying calm! Ang x

Hi Ang853, congratulations on your good news. Try to stay positive on this one. I know it is earlier said than done however the more you worry and stress the more anxious you will feel. The mind is very powerful stay positive and focused and tell your self that this baby is going to stay there for the entire duration this time and stay focused. I was in the same situation in Nov 2012 and now am 11 weeks and just refusing to think otherwise, baby number 4 God willing. Good luck and best wishes. X X X

Congratulations!

Best thing that I found helped was doing all of the stuff that they say is best during pregnancy. So I had pregnancy multivitamins, ate better, quit smoking and drinking (though I didn't do much of either before), took gentle exercising classes, and had relaxing baths as often as possible.

Hi! Try visualization and guided meditations to help you relax and focus on having a wonderful pregnancy! Live one day at a time, keep your mind occupied and surround yourself with positivity!

Hi there. Huge congratulations! I know exactly how you are feeling. I had a miscarriage last year, after a year of trying, then fell pregnant two months later. It's totally natural to worry! I agree that eating right, taking folic acid, not drinking, etc gives you a feeling that you're doing all the right things. Other than that I genuinely tried not to think about it too much. I kept busy, didn't allow myself to get too excited until after the 12 week scan. I guess it was a bit of self protection. We also didn't tell many people at all until after that scan. I now have a beautiful six month old boy! Do what you need to do to get through these early weeks. As the pregnancy goes on you will slowly relax and it will get easier. Remember, your hormones are all over the place as well, and you may be feeling dreadful - it's a lot to deal with!
