Which buggy to buy?

Hi. I'm expecting another baby. My little boy will be just over to when baby is born. Can anyone recommend a good double buggy? I would like one that is suitable for town but also robust.

Thanks

I personally love the iCandy peach and that can be made into a tandem or single. All depends on your budget x

If your not too fussed about size, the britax b duel is fab (its quite big) Really sturdy, huge shopping basket & lots of room in it even with a toddler in the bottom seat.i find it an absolute dream to push. I use one for childminding & i absolutely love it. I will also recommend the maclaren twin techno. Its a side by side stroller, but reclines flat for newborns - comes with head huggers & accesories, think its on sale at kiddicare at the moment too xx

I will always recommend the oyster, they are light, durable, and the wheels are easily taken off for transport or just to change them :) the max can have two children in, although babysafe also sell very sturdy buggy boards for toddlers.

Phil and teds navigator, is so light to push, not to pick up to put in the car though. I went to Kiddicare and tried pushing the doubles around. I thought I'd love the oyster max as I have an oyster for my first, but it seemed so heavy to push empty compared to the P&T. What I like about a tandem buggy over a side by side, is when you only have one child in it, it doesn't look odd or feel lopsided. I often end up carrying my newborn in a sling (quite a sicky baby, so not good to lie him down soon after a feed) and my toddler goes in the buggy (well sometimes she walks and I end up pushing a buggy that just has the nappy bag and other 'stuff' in it). You need to think about what's right for you and try a few out - I really like kiddicare for that as it's so big and has so many different ones to try, but it depends on whether you live near enough to it.

Try a baby jogger city mini double... It's a side by side one (but dont let that put you off) slim enough to get through a standard door... Very very easy to put up and take down... - just a handle...and doesn't take up loads of space in the boot. It's also relatively inexpensive... I even got ours from eBay and was in great condition! I think people don't use doubles for very long
