Which buggy/pram/travel system?

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can advise me what they think the best pram/buggy pushchair is? I am a driver so not sure if I need a whole travel system or should buy a car seat separately. Also wanted to get a pram I can maybe jog with so something lightweight. I am 39 and this is my first

Best bet is to go into mothercare or john Lewis they have a great range and someone there can advise u on the different ranges to suit your needs....it used to be the advice that babies should only be in their car seats for 2 hours don't know if this has changed...I've seen the silvercross new range looks great but pricey! If I could afford one I would but you could always ask for money towards it from family..... X

I would get a system were you can slot the car seat onto the pushchair as when the baby is sleeping you don't want to be getting them out of a seat that is fixed in your car then moving them into a pram. I have got a Sproggs travel system, it is really lightweight for getting in & out of the car.

yes travel system is easier if you can slot on the different parts. i walked round mothercare for an hour with the system i wanted. and decided to go for the Graco Evo. its lightweight. put down with one hand and its interchangable and the pieces are light too. so easy! x

The mothercare xpedior is a brilliant travel system and only £250 which is really good price for a travel system, and the carseat will go straight onto the frame so if u know your only out for a little while you can leave the pram bit at home to save boot space!! Xx

travel system for sure. The best is to take a tour to jhon lewis and ask them the opertions you have before you buy it from them or anywhere else.

I ordered a silver cross 3D model from Silver cross website, which is a 2-in-1 system with detachable carrycot and front facing push chair (dont want the baby to be dependent on us all the time, let her explore the world while she sits!) and added that with Silver cross car-seat.

it is around 14 Kgs (sturdy on ruff-terrain, which was one of my personal considerations as I would be off to field-work in an year from now!) not sure how good it is to jog with (but I am not much of a jogger anyways).

The whole system in a beautiful light pink and grey color with the foot-muff and rain-cover costed us £325. (change bag has to be bought separately, sadly)

Some of the other travel systems at silver cross are also on sale and can be within £300 with accessories and changing bags

I'm on baby number three first pram was a baby style lux... Nightmare but looked ace.

Second I got a Phil and teds so it converts to double.. Pram wheels always punchering ... Nightmare.

Third time I'm yet to use but I've gone for sola mamas and papas light weight stroller looks nice has car seat adapters so just pop it up and pop on seat.

I recommend going to mothercare toysrus John Lewis mamas and papas and graco try them out, swivel them, fold them, lift them, put the cars eat on put the carrycot on. See how easy or hard or heavy some are and base your choice on that. Xx

I am hopefully getting the quinny buzz xtra, the maxi cosi car seats fit on these and they r very compact which is gd as my boot is tiny, then when they r six months u can use the actual pushchair bit till they r like 3 and I think its only like 250/300 on kiddicare, u can get a carry cot too but yeh I wud say go somewhere where u can try them out, make sure they fit in boot and u like them. x

My other half was looking at a silver cross pram in mothercare the other day that he has seen advertised in the waiting room when we went for our scan it was £600 and the car seat was an additional £125, tbh it didnt look anything special and we have been advised it needs to be simple to put down with one hand and light to then lift into boot, Well he tried but it just wouldnt go down with one hand.

we also need adjustable handles as lurch is 6 foot 4 and im a whole foot smaller at 5 ft 4 so if we dont have an adjustable handle one of us is going to end up with a bad back

would definately recommend a travel system, im looking at a pram which can then be changed over to forward facing and a car seat, like i said we were in mothercare at the weekend and there are some realy good ones.

Hey I got the silver cross much cheaper at their company website (also depends which model you are looking at).

But yup you do make a point about the adjustable handle (damn we never thought of it before ordering this one - we are same one foot apart in height. Maybe we would open the pack on weekend and see how it works or if it needs to go back) Sic! I loved the color !

Go to Kiddicare if there is one by you - they have a racetrack where you can check out how they handle etc!

We went for a Stokke Xplory V3 in the end - I love it already

I drive a lot so when buying a baby travel system, I narrow down my choices by selecting travel systems with car seats that fit tightly in my car and that you can easily assemble and use. For the stroller, I choose the lightweight and can handle any terrain. I got mine at Rozibaby(rozibaby.com) and I'm happy with it. I also like the customer service.
